How I came across crystals, and how my love ( or my friends say OBSESSION ) started was at an early age. Even as a child I was always attracted to finding stones on the beach, pretty things and being fascinated by anything to do with spirituality.

Guide To 
Cleansing Your Crystals

Throughout history, research has taught us that all crystals from Mother Earth, naturally pick up energy from their environments. For example, when they have been carved by people, or placed in boxes, and passed through many hands, they may have picked up and absorbed unwanted energies/vibes and intentions. They may even have lost some of their sparkle too.
 
However, it’s okay because there are a few different methods to rid your crystals of these unwanted energies. Some are much simpler than others, but they all do the job! So, use your intuition and just go with what feels right for you and your crystals!

 
 ⭐~~With Sunlight~~⭐
You can leave your crystals in sunlight to absorb the sun's rays. but just like your skin, too much of it can cause a "crystal sunburn."
 Be careful as there are a few crystals which can fade if in the sun, such as: Aventurine, Apatite, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Citrine, Calcite, Kunzite, Rose Quartz, Fluorite and Smoky Quartz.
 
Quartz crystals will focus the sun’s rays and can be a fire risk. To be safe do not place these in sunlight for more than a few minutes. However, I tend to leave mine on a window sill in the sunlight for many hours or many days! It is so easy to do this method in the Summer time, and who doesn’t love a bit of sunshine!


⭐~~With Water~~⭐
 Probably one of the easiest and fastest ways to cleanse! You can hold your crystal under running water for a few minutes. Or overnight in a sink of water. **Be warned though**, don’t do what I did, and leave them in a sink over night only to find the next day, that half have disintegrated and lost their druzy (areas or crevices of tiny sparkling crystals) ☹ YES!!, this did happen to me in my early days of buying crystals! Be careful as some are SO soft especially anything with druzy and softer stones like Selenite must not be placed near water! Most other hardy crystals will be fine though.

  
⭐~~In the light of a full moon~~⭐
 Whenever it’s a full moon I tend to leave my crystals out in the moonlight. You can do this by leaving them out, overnight on a window sill in view of the moon, or outside somewhere safe, in the moonlight, preferably overnight.


⭐~~Burn Incense~~⭐
 Burn any natural incense (sticks or cones) you like, (Sage or Palo Santo work wonders), as it is extremely cleansing (you can cleanse your home with a smudge stick of Sage too) and allow the smoke from the incense to waft around your crystals, swirling it around them and letting them take in the aroma and cleansing properties of the incense!

 
⭐~~Bury in the Earth~~⭐
 When you know there will be a full moon you can bury your crystals in your garden etc (again not soft ones like Selenite) and leave them there until there is a new moon or for however you feel is intuitively right.  


⭐~~Sound Waves~~⭐
 Personally, I love to use my Tibetan singing bowl to cleanse my crystals as the vibrations and sounds that come from the bowl, are simply magical- these sound waves give us a great way to cleanse and purify our crystals. You could also use a bell, a chime, or any musical instrument. You could also use your own voice whilst chanting a prayer, song or a mantra!
  

⭐~~Other Crystals~~⭐
 And lastly, but by no means least; by using other Crystals- You could place your crystals near or on, or next to charging crystals such as Selenite, Charging plates are for this- and can be a very easy and powerful method to follow. Keep your crystals there for at least half a day.
